School assembly at Veritas Sainik School has a special attraction:
The morning sets the day and the assembly paves the way for our cadets at VSS. It enriches the spirit and unleashes the vitality of each cadet.
The cadets of the whole school are divided into 2 sets of groups (Primary, Upper Primary).
The morning hours welcome one and all to the school campus as the premise resounds with the school prayer, ‘Vande Mataram' - The National song of India written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee followed by Pledge, Thought for the day, Word of the day, News headlines, Speeches by Cadets and Authorities (If any) and finally ends with National Anthem.
The well planned assembly is conducted class and section wise, every child is given the opportunity and the platform to display their talent and present themselves as individuals. Guided by their teachers and Assembly-incharge, the assembly includes presentations, speeches, individual experiences, etc.
We believe the morning assembly plays an incredible role to:
- Develop a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.
- Aids the students to develop a sense of identity and confidence to present themselves in a larger group.
- Help inculcate disciplined, good social behaviour desired in a cultured society and facilitate the development of students' moral values.
- Motivate students by positive reinforcement in the form of praise or reward awarded in public.
- Facilitate National Integration and unity through prayer meetings.
- Help nurture a sense of patriotism and take pride in our rich culture and heritage.
